We welcome comments and suggestions on our product range and website.

How to make a purchase

Our site is designed to be easy to use and allow you to find the products you are looking for easily. You can browse through product categories, or use the search function if you are looking for a particular item or brand. When you find the item(s) you would like to purchase, simply click on the item and choose the ‘add to basket’ option.

You will be given a chance to review your basket and add or remove items before being completing your order. The final shipping costs will be shown in your basket, depending on the goods you have chosen to order. You will then be asked for the personal details we need to confirm your order, and will be directed by the website to the secure payment page. Your order is final when we confirm the details by e-mail.

Payments

We accept debit or credit card payments through a secure server and will accept the following cards: Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro.

All payments will be taken from cards in £pounds sterling. If you are purchasing outside the UK, your own credit card company will convert the charges to your own currency on your statement. Your statement will show a payment made to Garriock Bros. Ltd.

Pricing

The price of goods shown on the website includes all taxes and VAT at the standard rate of 20%, unless otherwise stated. Please note that customers placing orders outside the European Union will not be subject to VAT charges and these will be removed at check-out.

Ongoing Communication

We will contact you using the e-mail address you supply us with during the process of completing your order. We will not contact you using this e-mail address for any other purpose than confirming your order, informing you of any delay or unavailability of products, or any other matter relating to your order.

If you would like to receive further communication from us, you can choose to join our mailing list. Your details will not be passed to any third party for marketing purposes and we will e-mail you from time to time with details of new products, special offers or changes to the website. You can request us to stop e-mailing you at any time by sending an e-mail to enquiries@oceantacklestore.co.uk with the word ‘Unsubscribe’ in the title box.

Statutory Rights

Your statutory rights are not affected by the terms and conditions of this website.

Delivery Schedule

Please see our section on shipping for full details of delivery times and costs. We will despatch your goods as soon as possible after the order has been confirmed, usually within 24 hours. We regret that once we have sent the item, we cannot guarantee the delivery time taken by the courier.

Items out of Stock

In the unlikely event an item is not in stock we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of any alternative item available, or to confirm whether you would like to put the item on back order or cancel the order. We will not ship an alternative item without your agreement. We reserve the right to charge postage for shipping an alternative item you have agreed to receive in place of another.

Returns and Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order and your goods have not been despatched you will be refunded in full, including postage and packaging costs. Please inform us in writing as soon possible if you decide to cancel an order which you have not yet received. We cannot refund postage costs for an order which has already been despatched and the order will be treated as a return. You can e-mail enquiries@oceantacklestore.co.uk.

If for any reason, you are unhappy with items you receive and wish to return or exchange your goods, please ensure they are returned to us within 14 days of receipt, in their original condition. A full refund will be given only for the price of the item, or an alternative item of the same value may be sent on request. Refunds will only be credited to the card which was used to make the original payment. The cost of returning items which are not faulty will be the customer’s responsibility. There is a duty of care on the customer to take reasonable care of the goods while in their possession.

If you receive goods which are found to be faulty, please contact us within three days of receiving the items and we will arrange to send you a pre-paid package to return the goods at our expense. Faulty items will be replaced if required, or refunded in full including postage charges.

You must quote our order number in any correspondence regarding the return or cancellation of an order.

Complaints

We hope that our customers will have no need to make a complaint about our products or service, however if you do need to get in touch we will do our best to address your concerns within five days.

Privacy Policy

At oceantacklestore.co.uk, we acknowledge the privacy rights of our customers.

If you, the customer, choose to place an order for products from oceantacklestore.co.uk, you will be asked to provide some personal information. This may include your name, geographical and electronic mailing addresses, telephone number and credit/debit card details. All information will be requested and processed through a secure server.

Personal information requested will only be that which is required to process and deliver your order, and will be collected and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Card details may be passed to a credit card processing company who will not be permitted to use your details for any other purposes than payment processing relating to the order. Your details will not be disclosed to any other third party or agency unless required by law.


Shipping

All our items are sent by first class royal mail where possible on the first available working day after your order is confirmed. ( UK orders only) You should receive all orders within 3 days, however we cannot guarantee the delivery times once the goods leave our depot.

In order to keep postage costs as low as possible, we weigh all goods offered for sale, and your charges will be based on the weight of the items you order. Unfortunately we have to include a small charge for packaging and handling, but do our best to keep that to a minimum.
