So, which braid line is best? There are so many types and colours on the market, it makes choosing difficult.
If you do not fish too often then a cheaper braid with thicker dia/strength ratio is OK and you will probably be best to go for a stronger line as loosing braid is expensive. However if you fish often or are a competition fisher then you require a well constructed braid with a thinner dia/strength ratio as this is more effective at placing your tackle in the best position relative to the boat when fishing in a group or in strong tides and you want to have an advantage.
KG Strong Braid fits into the latter catagory and is one of the strongest in the world and is a leading European braid product, not too well known in the UK so you have a chance to gain an edge before this brand becomes better known.
KG Strong is a refined high performance fibre, braided then thermally treated in a complex process, an integral protective coating protects each fibre making the braid much more durable. The result is a well formed round braid that is less likely to pull into preceding layers wound onto the reel spool, and casts beautifully.
The 39KG test was used to catch the world record Halibut (202kg) in 2008.
